Canadian soldiers were training as we walked through since it’s an active military base. Our guide Charles was very good - funny and informative. There were some interesting exhibits although you don’t get to spend too much time at them because you must stay with the group and the tour is only about an hour. Still, an interesting activity. I’m an office worker and my husband is a forklift driver, so we are not art world people, really, but we really enjoyed ourselves here and could probably spend even more time here if they weren’t about to close. The exhibits were interesting and thought provoking, and we didn’t feel too odd being obvious outsiders in the gallery. This was so much more interesting than reading the material and much more informative. For the other sections, we read the material and looked at the items on display. Not all of it is available in English which is a bit frustrating. We were given cards with English for one room. I don't find reading as satisfying or informative as an oral recounting so I would have prefered being "guided" through the entire museum. The guide checked on us partway through to see if we had any questions which was helpful. I am glad that we went and we did learn a lot. The owner and another glassblower were so nice; we had long chats with both of them while we shopped. I ended up getting 3 necklaces the one I chose for myself is pictured with this review, the other 2 are gifts yet to be given and my partner bought one of their cool t-shirts with their name in French on the front and 3 pieces of glass candy corn so cute.There are so many lovely pieces available in all sizes and all price ranges.
